Tim, I wish we could shift the discussion to a recognition that nothing is going to change no matter what we do for say 20 years. I have tried to enter the concept of the Time Constant of a System (Tau) into the discussion - think the time to turn a battle ship around. All the talk is noise around the edges.

IMO if there is a problem - and if anyone actually cared to do something meaningful - the focus would shift to dissipating heat to deep space.

The current mantra of the Obama scare machine is that it is happening now. In the past we have been told we are past a tipping point.

The demographics of the world dictate what is going to happen for an extended period. The planned investment in energy facilities define what is going to happen for an extended period.

It all brings me back to the belief that the real goal is something other than CO2. I suspect strongly that CO2 is simply a mechanism to sell the populace on greater government control - as once again - "I am from the government and I am here to help you".
