>> That's what the "brilliance" of Hillary Clinton reminds me of. She's an exceptional politician, but I wouldn't trust her to manage the interests of the nation.

My concern is that she does look awfully capable compared with who we now have, and they're going to move to the right to pick up the uncommitted. I heard Bill giving a speech last week promoting cutting corporate tax rates -- albeit quietly.

She is going to be really hard to beat unless Benghazi or something else cuts her off at the knees.

I do believe Ben Carson is a credible candidate, it is pretty evident he's running, and he could peel off a good bit of the black vote. If that happened it would represent a sea change, as LBJ's prediction of having those N's voting Democrat for 200 years will be cut short.

Of course, there could be skeletons in his closet, who knows...

We began to question the traditional methods of measuring IQ in the late twentieth century, when questions were raised about people who score high but are unproductive in practical circumstances and inneffective in the interpersonal sense. Howard Gardner is one of the people who developed the theory of Multiple Intelligences (initially 7) which has had a profound influence on thinking and practices in education. One of the seven is Interpersonal Intelligence.

"Interpersonal intelligence is concerned with the capacity to understand the intentions, motivations and desires of other people. It allows people to work effectively with others. Educators, salespeople, religious and political leaders and counsellors all need a well-developed interpersonal intelligence."

Hillary is good at changing the course of discussion by semantic redirection to bolster left wing social movement. You should ask yourself how Hillaryisms are so effective at moving (or losing) the focus of discussion. When you compare her and Bill you see that Bill leans on his charming persuasive skills, whereas Hillary is calculating and manipulative but less known for imature public social blunderings.

Hillaryisms are really nothing but a statement of the obvious, but phrased in such a way as to get head nods and the reactions she needs at the moment:
“If I want to knock a story off the front page, I just change my hairstyle” This one is funny, but true.
"Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" This one sounds scary as hell but is true.
"What difference does it make" This one is intended to inspire raging opposition to scrutiny.

Think about it
A vast Right Wing Conspiracy is a real thing; which may also be characterized as people who collectively support conservative or right wing ideals, particularly in political venues. Not a bad thing, just politics as usual. The words "Vast" and "Conspiracy" implied something very sinister and untoward and so got some people to stand down and others to rage against the right. It was effective.

There is also a real Vast Left Wing Conspiracy; which may also be characterized as people who collectively support "progressive" or left wing ideals, particularly in political venues.

Emotional Intelligence
A newer measure of intelligence which very definitely predicts success for people with an IQ in the normal range is EQ (Emotional intelligence).

"Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to identify, use, understand, and manage emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict. Emotional intelligence impacts many different aspects of your daily life, such as the way you behave and the way you interact with others.

If you have high emotional intelligence you are able to recognize your own emotional state and the emotional states of others, and engage with people in a way that draws them to you. You can use this understanding of emotions to relate better to other people, form healthier relationships, achieve greater success at work, and lead a more fulfilling life. "

"I realized that she didn't become House Majority leader (now House Minority leader) by being a dumbass."

That's right Ten, Pelosi didn't. She has the flaw of sounding ditzy at times when she speaks off the cuff. But, she's ten time the Speaker John Boner is, and a far better leader than Harry Reid. She ALWAYS delivered the votes needed. Actually, she always delivered ALL the (D) House votes.
