Ever heard of packet writing or Direct CD? Although many older CD-ROM do not handle Direct CD disc properly but this will change when today CD-ROM are multiRead compatible and UDF support in Win98. Zip disk is pretty good in terms of reliability but it is still not comparable to a CD. Also I bet there are more CD-ROM which read Direct CD disc than Zip drive. Also will Zip disk forward compatible with DVD? NO but 2nd generation DVD-ROM will read CDR and CD-RW :o) I do agree with you that Zip makes more sense than SparQ for this purpose. But overall SparQ is indeed an excellent product. aC
