LL, if you have never been to Grass Valley\Nevada City, it is worth a trip because it is a trip. It's like you walked back to 1880.

Charger and Dundee,I forgot to mention about 2 miles south of Grass Valley there is Empire Mine State Park. Fun and historic. AND about 30 minutes is Malakoff Diggins State Park. The site of one of the largest placer mining operations in history. When we're all there in July\August we'll go visiting.

So, if anyone else is going to the area, there is PLENTY to do as well as the bar at the Hotel Holbrooke and a mine tour of BCMD.

lizardlick, glad to see your still kickin, lickin', whatever<g> Sure wish I hadn't been incommunicado the afternoon of the run up, (sigh), but I'll be here for the next one which will last longer and go higher. Especially as the daytraders appear to be more of a minority now than in the past.
