Sam Gompers.....Sam.....Gompers.....I think I know that name. Labor organizer?

<<....I have also seen this thread deteriorate from an informative
forum for learning about the company to a rumor mill for people with
agendas of their own.
>> I am certainly not trying to imply that
you have an agenda, but your first question lends itself to the hype
that has been rampant on this thread. To wit:
<<1. Does anybody know what the employee morale is currently at S3?
Are engineers bailing and heading for other companies in the valley
with better prospects?
>>
Maybe the second sentence could have read: Are the engineers still as
excited about designing and producing cutting-edge products in a
comfortable, worry-free environment? I know, I know. I'm just
exaggerating in the opposite direction. But do you see how the way
something's worded can put negative spin on an issue that is
completely unknown?

As to the answers:

1. I certainly don't know. How about you, Ski?

2. SIII certainly includes it in it's prospects: s3.com

3. See #2. As far as what was shown, and how it was received you'll have to find out from someone who was there.

As for you closing remarks about turning this thread around, see ggda's post #8333. Of course, The Vinman likes it per post #8332. Hey, how do you make #8333 a dynamic link?

Later,

< What ever happened to the faroujda? >

Sam, Faroudja went public (FDJA), traded at 9 the first day, back on November 4, currently at 6 3/4. With the weakness in techs this week, FDJA did okay, up 3/4 or so.
