ROFLMAO. The nerve of some people. Good thing we caught it early or else a serious discussion might have broken out on this thread.

Do you think Bob might want to purchase the FBN Sounder product?

**OFF TOPIC** for Tom.

Humbly report, Tom, I believe you do not understand the problem I (and judging by a few posts, others) have with what is happening and has happened on this thread (and elswhere).

Please understand that what I am writing now is - uncharacteristically - not to be taken with a grain of salt.

Until such a time that the provisions of Executive Order 12656
( ncs.gov which, by the way, revokes Executive Order 11490) are invoked, (possibly due to y2k) you and I live in a free country.

Until such a time that Jeff and Brad Dryer (the owners of Silicon Investor) change the rules, anyone can post anything anywhere on SI (provided it is not against SI Terms of Use, techstocks.com )

I understand your motives for protecting this thread - perfectly.

I agree with your intentions, and support your effort to provide a forum that follows the guidelines spelled out in the header for this thread.

OK, so far so good.

Here is the problem as I see it. Given that this is a free country, and given that SI is a forum provided for the free flow of information, I wish to inform you that your attitude comes across - certainly to me, and I believe to others - as patronizing, arrogant, parent-to-child like - in a nutshell - superior and dictatorial to the point of nausea.

I am not saying that you do not provide an incredible wealth of information - you do - and I thank you for it.

But, and this is a big but, until such a time that this forum takes a vote and puts you in charge (at which time I'd be out the door so fast it would not have a chance to hit me in the butt), I'd like to ask you to refrain from using expressions such as "if we allow" in regards to others' posts. We all have the same rights here, you did not pay my SI access fee, nor anyone else's for that matter, and you are, therefore - an equal among equals.

A simple "please do not post regarding the y2k impact on the market and society discussion here" as a response to anyone that does so, should be enough.

To sum it up, please get off your high horse, step down from your soap box, and begin to walk like the rest of us. You have been called a God, but believe me, you are not.

Thank you for understanding.

I remain, humbly dreaming of unhindered freedom of expression, by the mail slot of the mail room, near the first arch of the Mala Strana side of Charles Bridge, where they serve great hot rum, gratis for me, yours truly, your equal,

Svejk
(GL-15 applies: digiserve.com )

P.S. Did you see the y2k impact thread yet? It's anarchy!!!
