Supporting socialist ideas is a bad thing because socialism produces poverty and misery.

I would like to add that the environmental track record of socialism is abysmal. The so called good intentions of the likes of wharfy, sharky and eric are the road to environmental hell on earth. It is clear they are closet green fascists of the worst kind and basically evil in their wishes to see govts' use what ever draconian measures necessary to mandate and enforce their so called green "visions".

The free market never was, and the countries you called socialistic are doing better than we are.

The Reality: The U.S. ranks near the bottom of the world's wealthiest countries in how well it cares for its children in poverty. Out of 24 nations, the U.S. ranked between 19th and 23rd in critical areas of health, education, and material well-being. (UNICEF, 2010)
