I grew up on the shores of Lake Agassie in North Dakota which was Ice until around 13,000 years ago and turned into a lake by global warming. This was the largest lake that has been found on the earth. The Lake ran off and has now totally disappeared.

FYI, it is estimated glacial lake Agassiz drained in about 90 days, down the Clearwater River, into the Slave, forming glacial lake McConnell, remnants of which are Great Bear Lake and Great Slave Lake. The remnant of glacial lake Agassiz is now known as Lake Winnipeg.
