At Fossil Free Cal, we know that the fossil fuel industry is both driving catastrophic climate change and harming communities through the extraction and burning of coal, oil, and natural gas. Our campus’s campaign is calling on UC Berkeley and the UC system to divest their commingled and direct holdings in the top 200 fossil fuel companies with the largest reserves of carbon. We expect and demand that the Berkeley Foundation and the UC Regents foster a future of opportunity for their students through not only their programs but their investment practices as well. Investing in climate chaos is not in line with any kind of viable future, and must stop. Land of fruits and nuts and idiots. Except for the fact that I left some very dear friends and fond memories of my years lived back in your People's State, before it was ruined, I truly wish that La Raza's fondest wish would come true and California would revert back to Mexico.
