>> So why do you right wingers want to do every thing the founding fathers told us to do-lol??

I'm hardly a right winger. But I do know a little about the history of it.

Washington is looked upon more favorably at times because he freed his slaves, while Jefferson didn't. But that hardly sets things right; after all, Washington would had to have known that slavery was contrary to Jefferson's ostensible belief that all men were created equal.

Most people are products of their time and place. You, me, and those great individuals. While Adams was greatly opposed to slavery, he still managed to be close friends with Jefferson, even after the most hostile election in our history (prior to 2012). And even Abigail Adams and John Quincy Adams were friendly with Jefferson. Yet, there was the gulf of slavery between them.

These people were about creating the foundation for a great nation, which they did. There are countless writings among the Founders that make the history clear: They were disgusted at the idea of slavery, it contradicted everything they were trying to do, but the recognized that they simply could not undertake that issue and still create a union. In 1808 Jefferson signed into law a ban on slave trade the day after the expiration of the Northwest Ordinance.

You would do well to comprehend history in the context of the time and place. Just as you are blatantly ignorance of science, you seem to lack any basic understanding of the history of our country.

Why do liberals have to lie? Washington took pains in his will to make sure all the slaves owned in his own name were set free.

it is told he did not want to give them up even at his death.
