Historical relativity: We liberals understand that, but it is exactly what the right wing does not understand.

The right wing keeps saying: "our founding fathers wanted it this way or that way", seemingly oblivious to the flaws in their thinking that future folks needed to fix. Like slavery and giving women the vote, and all the amendments to the constitution.

Plato and Socrates were the liberals of the time, so was Jefferson and Lincoln and Twain, etc.

It has been the liberal philosophy that has always been the right one throughout history as it is nothing more than a composite of science, logic, reason and compassion. That will never change.

And so the liberal philosophy will always change and become more sophisticated as new information is discovered. Liberals embrace change and conservatives fight it.

It is also why I do not see how the pubs can ever have a viable counter philosophy. What would it be?

How does anyone improve on the above. It is the equation for establishing a civilization IMO. So the pub party is really nothing more than people who do not understand the equation. And there are no exceptions I know of.

I find it funny no one ever thinks of that? It is a pretty simple observation.
