All,

Here's an interesting angle: With 30 Tempests produced every week how long is it before the income produced by calls equals income from the hardware? 30 Tempests equal $3/8M and if produced every week is almost $20M for the entire year and a profit of $42k per week. 75% gross profit = $15M and 15% net profit = $2.25M per year. On the other hand, 30 Tempests @ 4 calls per pair for a 40 hour week equals 144,000 minutes per week per week (because the system adds 30 Tempests every week) @ $.015 per minute profit = $2,160 per week per week. (As the system includes more foreign countries, this figure will naturally rise but for the moments let's consider only domestic calls.) By the end of a year, we have 1,560 Tempests in operation earning $112,320 per week profit, for an annual rate of $5.8M. The answer to the above question is 19.5 weeks ($42k/$2,160). In 39 weeks, we'd be making twice as much on the phone calls as on the Tempests. Neat, huh?
