>>"And that's where you are wrong. Dems are more accepting of diversity because they have worked at becoming more accepting. Many Rs are unrepentant racists. The difference is significant.<<

The public schools have infused affirmative recognition and celebration of diversity into the curriculum for several decades. Where I live, the diversity club in schools is just about supporting gay students. Any student who questions the increasingly pro-diversity curriculum in school suffers social opprobrium, likewise in the fields of work in the adult population. This is carrying over into society as well so that we see 20-40+ year olds much more accepting, tolerant, and advocating the promotion of diverse representation in society, than their elders in general.

Yes. This growing acceptance of diversity is being prompted by this country's growing diversity. In other words, if we want to survive as a culture, we need to endorse diversity.

I agree that many older Rs are unrepentant racists but I haven't seen an example of severe unrepentant racism more extreme than the racism Condoleeza Rice suffers from D's. I have followed her career and read her extensive bio. Democrats are guilty of shameful unrepentant racism toward her. Which calls into question the sincerety of the underlying Dem agenda. Supporting diversity is definitely a vote getter for them but ... tsk

What racism does Rice suffer at the hands of Dems? What I've seen is that Dems are not terribly respectful of her because of her involvement with the Bush administration. That isn't racism.
