Letters to editors, and others, are worth writing. And we can all write them. Granted, some of us may have more need of spell checkers than others, but we all have the ability to express opinions. I encourage you to do so. I rewrote my comments about the last FP article and sent it to the editors at FP. Regardless of whether letters get published, at least the editors will pay attention, and readership response shows them a topic has interest. Perhaps if people point out errors, the editors will be more careful about who writes the articles and what is said. Letters to the editors can be written whether an article has just been published or not; but at this moment, two articles have been published to which we can respond. If someone wants a copy of the last Sun article, I can fax it. If you write something, it's probably a good idea to pass it by one of us, or someone at Sungold, to ensure that it's factually correct, and not easily misinterpreted. Simple correct statements, clearly written, and to the point, can have tremendous impact. Come to think of it, I think I'll send some letters to B.C. MLA's. (I would not send letters to market regulators like the VSE or NASD.) BTW, L.D., I'll assume you intended your suggestion that I consider working for the Van Sun as a compliment, but after reading the recent comments about journalists, I think I'll pass.
