MARC, >>People and funds have gotten spoiled to big returns. Funds will put the money back to the market and try to run prices back up again

Don't they have any grandpa's running any of these funds.<ggg>

>>Rates on the 30 year will probably drop to 5 % by then. Ofcourse we will probably be in a recession.

I think so also. I bought some at 6.5% and picked up a small lot here at 6%. Been toying with the idea that I maybe should buy some more, I am watching the behavior before I jump in with both feet.

>>By the way, did you here the guy on CNBC say there is a shortag of treasuries.

No, AG has been buying treasuries like there is no tomorrow and flooding the country with liquidity. Maybe this is the problem. Maybe just what AG wants.

Well, it was just luck, but some money I put into Treasury strips has appreciated at an annualized rate of 40% since I did it. Think I will leave it there a while longer. Of course with bonds the limit is not the sky but rather sea level. But there's still some room between the original price paid of about 33 and the redemption of 100. They are at about 38.5 now.
