3,

Is Dell the best PC-stock. Yes.
Is the PC-sector the place to be the next months. No.
Are you feeling comfortable about the overall-market. No.
Do you think that McNabb will win the war. YES.

3 , I'm sorry. It happened last tuesday at the open. I'm a bear now.
It feels strange to be on the creep-side of the market. But I'm
more & more getting that DD-sector-feeling. Why, well that is a
very long story. Maybe another time.

3,

This is said about IBM "Positive (..) services, software and servers".
I see it as a simple, but a correct analysis of the IT-sector.

Merrill Lynch cut its 4Q earnings estimate on shares of IBM CORP to
$2.20 a share from $2.26 a share, based on the weak yen and slower
personal computer demand in Japan, a market source said. Merrill
said in a research note it reduced its revenue growth assumption
but saw an eight to nine percent local currency gain. Lowered
1997 estimate to $6.24 per share from $6.30 per share, while
maintaining its accumulate rating. "Issues include the
strengthening dollar/yen, flat PC sales in Japan and international
pressure in disk drives and DRAMs (dynamic random access
memory)," Merrill said. Positive factors could include services,
software and servers, it said. (Reuters 10:54 AM ET 12/11/97)

JBN3:
<<DELL a STRONGER, more compelling value. >>

I am just looking at the price chart. From late October to late November, the closing prices have registered an Inverse Head and Shoulder pattern, a bullish sign.

With regards

jbn3,

Glad you are still so positive, for if everyone was bearish I would say that you were correct! Better wake up and start reading between the news stories that are coming out! Sure looks at though things may get a little more competitive with all the box makers! I only thought that it would have taken place a little sooner than it has! I very comfortable with my shorts and will continue to add to the DELL short and will sell more naked calls! Gosh, I love collecting that money from those calls, in fact this will be the 3rd month in a row that I will collect the premium and not have to take the stock short! That is if DELL stays below $90 till next Friday, and if not I will be glad to go short a few more shares if need to be!

jb3n,

I can go back and show you were INTC has had an EPS rating as high as DELL and a relative strength number as high as DELL has now also! So what are you telling me? If anything I would take the numbers below and being a trading as I am in the high tech sector I would be buying INTC now and selling DELL as I am doing! But IMO I would not buy anything in the high tech sector at this time! I'm using any bounce what so ever to sell more short and to sell more naked calls!

DELL Computer EPS = 99 (Highest possible rating) Relative strength = 97 (Only 2% are better)

In comparison, Intel Corp (INTC)is rated EPS = 93 RS = 35
