Re: $15 Minimum Wage

It will hurt all small business, not just the restaurant segment.

I just had a conversation with a friend who owns a small business. She runs a guardianship service. They are paid monthly to manage finances for incapacitated people, many of whom are on state assistance. Her company's fees are capped at $175/month in the case of the DSHS clients. A requirement that she pay her staff $15/hr would be devastating.

It's simply amazing that people think they can just wave a wand and have minimum wage raised to levels unsupported by economics and that it won't have far-reaching consequences.

the fast food places will eliminate cashiers and go to screens where you place your order and enter your credit card.
