"I looked over at an adjacent table and saw "Ratatouille" there."

..and you blamed (D) city leadership, instead of the restaurant proprietor? It's pretty clear the sort of lenses through which you view reality. LOL!

Ted, remember that permanent underclass I mentioned before? You'll find the highest concentrations of said underclass in Dem-controlled urban areas.

Oakland, for instance, is a place I try to avoid at all costs.

The Dem areas that have an underclass are those with a heavier than normal concentration of minorities. The underclass doesn't result from them being dems but because of centuries of discrimination and poverty. And despite that heavy weight, conditions are improving in those cities........including Oakland.

P.S. - Speaking of Oakland, I remember meeting up with a friend at a Korean restaurant in Oakland. As I was finishing my food, I looked over at an adjacent table and saw "Ratatouille" there. (A.K.A. a rat, for those of you who don't like Pixar movies.) At least I know I'm not the only one who enjoys Korean food ...

Give that its CA, what you probably saw was a fruit rat and he probably was looking for a date palm to eat. CA isn't noted for its sewer rats like Ratatouille. Either that, or it was a mouse.
