Ignorance is not a reference to low IQ, although it is often associated with stupidity. To ignore is to choose ignorance (ignore truth). Ignorance is the basis for most fear. Fear is expressed in defensiveness or in aggression, which often over lap. A lie is an aggressive behavior designed to protect the agent of the lie they've told themselves, or from unwelcome consequences of some personal issue. Hypocrisy is a lie to one's-self. Bans are an attempt to guard one's-self from having to face their own flaws.
