Raising the minimum wage is also inflationary. This hurts retirement savings and in the global economy it will make the US a little less competitive.

The argument from the left is that businesses will raise prices and keep on rolling

Any raise in prices will result in diminished economic activity, thus fewer opportunities. The pain will be concentrated on those at the bottom end. Losses will be lost in the fog and the left will concoct rationales to do even more damage.

Arguing details is a waste. Any salvation will come from reestablishing an ethos of liberty.

Tough sell, that.
