Ian: You may want to add SFAM to your list. Your site is not open as I write but at a Friday close of $19.875 and a book value after the most recent secondary this fall of $16.68 per share (nice timing -- at $50 some odd bucks per share), you have got a P/B of 1.19 for a leading edge company primed to expand along the lines of .25um and below growth with its CMP product (LTG=30%). Company to report earnings on December 17th. I see CY '98 at around $2.00 plus per share. Trading at less than 10x forward EPS. Market Cap of 322m as of close of Friday/ 1997 revenue of $173.4 gives it a P/S of 1.86. Thank you Mr. Market.

Ian, Re: NVLS on your table

For NVLS: From the most recent 10Q (Sept) it looks like Book is $7.92 versus the $7.55 shown. This pushes price/book down to @3.9

I'm using $279,368 shareholder equity and avg shares for most recent quarter of 35,276.

Shane

Ian,

Many thanks for the very helpful post. Many of these numbers look so inviting that I want to buy more -- but I'm already on margin and very nervous.

If you intend to keep updating this table (and I hope you do), would you be so kind as to include Mattson (MTSN) in the table? Thanks in advance.

Len
