There may be a little light showing at the end of the Republican-created tunnel. The Tea Party was totally defeated in the recent Republican primaries, and RINOs with nearly identical political positions were sent out to contend with their (D) opponents. The thing with the RINOS is, they were only pretending to be extreme conservatives, where the Tea Party candidates actually believed all that crap. So, there's a chance they'll tack back toward the center, and maybe eventually be sane. I see the Tea Party as being created by the presidency of George W. Bush, which was so horrible a lot of Republicans rejected the identification and created a new one. That's currently passing through their body politic like a huge constipated turd.
