I was turned off to them at an early age. A friend's dad was in New Orleans and swallowed a piece of an oyster shell and started bleeding internally. They saved him, but had to sew up his intestines from one end to the other. I sort of lost interest.

fresh live oysters are the best, wade into the chesapeake bay and eat them as you find them. we have a place near by that serves like 30 oysters from around the world and changes the menu each week
