Paul, I wrote, "IBM derives royalties from the K6 even if AMD packages them, but no such relationship exists with Intel."

You responded, "Intel gets a royalty from AMD for each K6 they sell - from the Intel-AMD MMX license arrangement."

I was trying to show that IBM gets a little money back from AMD due to some packaging process royalties, but IBM does not get any significant royalties from Intel. This is another reason for IBM to favor AMD over Intel, to the extent that AMD can supply enough chips.
