If Steve Jobs were still at Apple, I think you can safely say that Dr. Dre's video would have killed the deal.

Dre is a terrible person anyway, so I have my doubts that Jobs would have considered the deal with Beats in the first place, and certainly not at $3.2 billion.

If the deal does actually happen, perhaps Apple can slowly extract Dre from the business and any role he currently plays in the venture. He could be considered an "advisor" with no real say in anything that happens after the deal.
