Hello All~

How is everyone doing here? Haven't done any trading or watched the market closely since last time I posted. It really kept me away from lots of trouble. Right now I still hold intc(hedged) and asnd (few shares). And that's it all. Last week I almost bought some amat when it got chopped but changed my mind eventually. Just have a strange feeling that some bad news have yet to come from amat before next earning reports. At this price levels, semi and semi equip~makers are attractive. But their charts surely look ugly. At first, the currency problems in SEA kept me skeptical on these stocks. But I never imagined that South Korea and Japan would be in such turmoil. Yesterday I read somewhere that analysts expect that depreciation of China dollars might start to occur next year up to 15 percent. Look like SEA problem wouldn't go away any time soon. More trouble to come next year. Now people started to fear the SEA problem with prewarned disappointing earnings from high-tech and big cap companies. We might still have some downward movement to go with some dead cat bounces along the way down. I start to prepare a list of stocks I am interested in. When the bottomes are near, I sure will be ready to jump in.
Crossy~ Found this site, lehman.com, which provides analysts' researches on US companies. Think you might like it. Will start to post any links that might help us to find good stocks to watch for the next wave up (don't know when it would happen though. G~)
Rick~ I still believe that shorting or buying puts after periodical rallies might be the best way to trade in this market.
Nice to talk to you all here again.

Regards,

Iris

Hello Crossy~Here's a question of type you are great at answering in understandable terms.

Someone on another thread asked about investment implications for DD companies, by saying: "Because of changes in technology, the future of the DD makers is up in the air given that other storage solutions are in the offing."

Please explain for us hardheads. Which companies might be Leap put candidates?

Rick
