Hmmmm.... No problem selling hardwood timber, in this region. Appalachia was never "timbered out". There's mountains of it further than the eye can see in all directions stretching through state after state. Think it's like natural gas. Good LT supply creates demand. Anyway, big trucks loaded with logs drive by, here, regularly.

Last month, we took a day trip 2 hours east of here. Near our destination, we happened to drive by several large timber yards and mills outside Buckhannon. All were active and looked busy. Wood prices are, of course, cyclical. R.E. and land taxes are lower here than anywhere else we've lived.
