I'm not sure humans will survive. And I don't really care. It's not like it really matters to us. We're here now. We can enjoy our lives. What happens after- wel- we do our best for our progeny, but we can't fix stupid- and if humans are too stupid to save themselves, than they are. No use agonizing over it. Bacteria will definitely survive. And probably resistant life forms will survive. We, alas, are not terribly resistant, and if things go badly, we will go when the large food chains go. And then something else will happen. And that's ok. If you learn anything from the fossil record, it's that life is constantly renewing itself. Which is fine with me. I guess if you're really anthrocentric that might be upsetting, but I'm not.
