You're exactly right, Pubo. Bush took an Iraq that was run by sectarian enemies of Iran and handed it over to sectarian allies of Iran. They went from being mortal enemies who'd just fought a decade long war where we supported Iraq to being allies.

For this and other well-documented reasons, the invasion of Iraq was the worst foreign policy blunder in American history.

Sad but true. I think things have been handled badly and even if they weren't, I don't expect the world to turn into paradise, it's the world with its own nature and we can count on world affairs to present the worst of human nature from time to time (most of the time).

It doesn't help when the so called "free world" condones corruption in their own political process. Speaking "Truth to Power" in the free press and in the streets had corrective influence at one time, not in these times where code speak and political correctness have silenced the voices of truth and have become the power behind the scenes, which we dare not speak about lest we be brow beaten and publically humiliated in the process.
