Well, there's this little problem that our hallowed founders, in their wisdom, either didn't make it clear enough that only militias get to own firearms or really intended all Americans could own them. Another red herring.. In their wisdom, defining and linking ownership to a "well regulated militia" should have been sufficient They could not have anticipated the purveyors of guns and their lawyers could take that language to mean any idiot was free to acquire all the weaponry they could pay for as an independent citizen and slaughter their fellow citizens as a hobby What part of "well regulated militia" is hard to understand?
