<<totem of my race, tattooed on my sleeve>> Its a good start, I hope it will work into something more fulfilled.

The Lazaras(is that the way the word is spelled? I seriously don't know)Pool was not about a "she", but I did want it to appear that way. I'm really kind of ashamed that I posted what little I had because it wasn't even expressing the picture I was trying to paint. I think you're just being nice, :-) , because I wasn't really that impressed with it.

I will say though, you've written a couple of lines which have stuck to my own brain cells. That one that goes "when suffering eclipses faith" and another something akin to "and lets just watch the sky burn" or something like that. I've just been to lazy of late to sit down and hammer out some ideas which have been running around in my head because I've certainly had time.

Nice to talk at ya JP. I gotta get up early today and take S.J.'s car in for a new muffler. Guess what she wants for her birthday . . . you guessed it. Hey, whatever she wants.

So the questions were to close to home. No problem. I've never been there myself, but I've sure felt aweful close sometimes, especially during those times when I had my thumb out on a hiway I'd never been on and it was starting to get dark. Memories, wouldn't trade for anything. Well, maybe some of them I would.

Are you just easy to talk to, or do I just talk easily.

there's an angel in the house
i've come to see there's a light
just beyond the shadow

could it be i could dwell with you
in the noon-day sun

could it be that i've found someone
who will let me go to my winter's rest
and welcome my return in spring

RE: SILVER ANNIVERSARY

JP, that particular piece is a different version of another piece I wrote titled "Who Is The More". A friend's parents were about to celebrate their 25th anniversary so I made a few changes, gave him a copy, and allowed him to give it to his parents. I figured they would appreciate the thought. So it does have special significance to me. I'm beginning to think this type of writing (I hesitate to use the word poetry as it can be conflicting depending on who one is talking to) is somewhat like scripture in that several meanings can be gleaned from a single set of verse. Guess that is kind of what it is all about in some ways.

Play time is officially over. But I'll probably sneak back onto the playground a couple times this week. Hope its a good un for ya.
