Oh, and one thing I forgot. As soon as you file the papers and drawings to patent something, a file # is assigned. I don't know if that # then becomes the patent# or not, in any case, it would seem to me, with all the desert dirt companies and thousands of miles of sand out there that if the technology really exists, only a fool wouldn't secure the rights to it. Licensing agreements can be worth a ton.
