It's not like what I think- or what you think- matters. So why should I compromise my principles and logic when there's absolutely no reason to? To please you? I don't think so. So if it ever matters, and anyone with any power actually asks for my opinion, I might temper it- but until that day, it's not happening. And fwiw, I don't see much compromise coming from you. You say whatever you feel like too. And that's fine- but it would be less offputting if you weren't a big hypocrite about it, ok? It's not like you want to compromise either. You imply your position is pragmatic, but it's really not. You just want to cave to the gun interests, when the actual majority in this country want more gun control. We aren't going to make progress on anything, though. Our stupid political parties are going to argue about stupid things, because for the most part they are all elected by stupid people (and supported behind the scenes by very wealthy people)- and the very wealthy people will get what they want, and the rest of us will eat shit and die. And there you have it. Welcome to the shit banquet that is American politics. There's shit for all, which is awesome, assuming you love shit. So I'm not going to be "pragmatic" and agree with your sellout to the big gun interests, any more than I'd be "pragmatic" and sell out to big pharma, or be "pragmatic" and sell out to big ag. There are lots of shitty things going on in this country and I don't think I need to ignore them to satisfy "pragmatism"- especially when no one gives a crap what I'm saying anyway.
