Timothy D. Cook is clear on expanding the reach of its second best product -- the iPad.

Apple announced that it would be bringing the iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina display to NTT

DOCOMO ( DCM _) network, starting Tuesday, June 10. "We are extremely happy for iPad to join
iPhone on NTT DOCOMO's network," Cook said in a press release. "The results on iPhone have
been tremendous, and we look forward to delivering iPad to NTT DOCOMO customers."

Both the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display will be available on DOCOMO's Xi LTE network.

Hushed Apple CDN plans; Global Internet users to reach three billion

This week in telecom news, Apple is reportedly negotiating interconnection deals with ISPs to put together
a CDN for its content. And the FCC has far more on its plate than Net neutrality in the wake of Comcast's

Internet service providers (ISPs) for interconnection deals to deliver Apple content to consumers.

Apple has been rumored to be building its own content delivery network (CDN) after relying on other
companies, like Akamai and Level 3, to deliver content including iTunes and apps, according to
