I don't blame people who live in bear country for wanting a gun- and wearing it. But for people who live in safe towns and cities- proper storage is essential. childinjurylaws.com 1.69 millions children live in homes with unsecured firearms. And there are millions more unsecured guns in homes without children- just sitting around for people to steal them. If gun owners were careful, and sober, and peaceful- who'd give a crap about guns? I wouldn't. But seeing as how Americans are constantly killing each other, I do care. I wouldn't- if they were just shooting other idiots- but I don't want them killing my kids, or my friends, or me.
