Hi Kate I think the point is that that decline is suggesting folks have other modes of interpreting their world I'll also pass on the value judgement of that phenomenon I was merely reacting to what I perceived as a stereotypical inference that agnostics, and by induction, atheists are not good actors I tend to enjoy debating with folks who question my self characterization as a Christian Atheist The belief set and teachings that are attributed to that entity, be it corporal, spiritual or entirely fictional, known as Jesus Christ, is fundamental to how I approach others I can't deal with the supernatural trappings though I think there are a whole lot of folks, probably of the politically liberal persuasion that feel similarly So as we look at the GOP cutting off help to the poorest and food for children while favoring the wealthy, advocating wars and the death penalty, practicing racism and opposed to limiting gun murders, we see a flavor of hypocrisy, as they also claim the provenance of "Good Christians", that is repugnant..WWJD.. ...welcome aboard
