Kurt,
Apple already has streaming music.
iTunes Radio? I'm not up-to-speed on all of the different ways to distribute digital music, but I heard that's not the same thing.

AFAIK (and please correct me if I'm wrong), Apple wants to create its own competitor to Spotify. There was an analyst who claimed that Apple would be better off just buying Spotify, but the price tag would have been way too high.

As for something Apple could have done itself, I don't know how to argue against that. You may be right.

The thing that's been overlooked here is the demographic.

This is a demographic that has no problem spending money on status items. You all know what spinners are right? Basically a college education for a year for 4 wheels...

My guess is this demographic is mostly Android, but those who are iPhone users like those golden phones.

So we might see some conversion to iOS products, along with a ready made music service, and status hardware. I guess we'll see.

Another thing, I doubt anyone here has used the Beats streaming service. For all we know the technology IS superior to Spotify et al.

Does anyone here use Spotify or Beats or any other streaming service?
