The fact that there are more guns than people only suggests an average of more than one gun per person. It tells you absolutely nothing about whether a million own 30 each, or each person owns one, or somewhere in between. Lots of people (like me) own a number of guns, but they pretty much get no use at all. The problem has to do with WHO owns them. Street thugs & criminals? Hunters? Collectors? Policemen?
