There is a growing school of thought, that humans are capable of determining appropriate modes of behaviour without joining clubs for group mind control though

They didn't write about spirit worlds that I remember. They talked about kindness, civility and levels of understanding.

And the pagans were really just the ancient Greek thinkers, whom we have vilified over the ages, but who were actually the good and smart guys of the day.
