Any one who does not believe gold manipulation is unaware of American history and deliberately obtuse, uninformed or ignorant. I am not a rabid conspiracy theorist and consider the manipulation as a simple fact worth factoring in when investing in miners.
Current things to consider
" the fact that Fort Knox as not been audited by an independent source since 1964 or 5 is of interest.
The fact that germany's request for an audit was turned down and then they where told that they would have to wait for their gold to be returned from storage is also indicative of something wrong. Lost my records but a shipment normally take about 2-4 months to execute. Germany gets their gold over 7 to 13 years .
Storing gold in Britian seems to work, storing your gold in the USA does not work.

Thanks for your post.

I had a look at a few of the gold majors' charts and see the volume you mentioned, AEM in particular. I agree with your comments on Trader Dan's refusal to publicly admit that the gold market is manipulated. Bill Fleckenstein is another. I rather like Marc Faber's response - "well, of course, all markets are manipulated."

I had a look at Ed Steer's comments on the COT report and he called them spectacular. I always enjoy reading his take.
