Why did he allow himself to be identified as "Kenyan born" on his literary bio right up until the decision was made to run for president. This had been ongoing for 15 years, less than a year before his run for the presidency he changed it? What's up with that? There are questions about how his university education was financed. These are expensive universities he attended, there is no indication that he had the wherewithal to have paid for it, and yet, after six years as president, we still don't know. He was given a position at the Harvard Law Review yet never managed to write a single important paper. He claimed to be a "constitutional law professor," yet his knowledge of constitutional law appears to be beyond weak. He could simply release that material and clear these things up, yet he hasn't. No, he isn't required to. But allegations of racism have no foundation. If another president, for example, Bush, had had these kinds of inconsistencies he would have been crucified. In fact, he was, over his military record. There was no "there", there, but he was nevertheless crucified. Because Obama himself had claimed, for some 15 years, to have been "Kenyan born", it is a legitimate question that warrants pursuing. It is probably nothing -- he likely thought he could get some benefit out of it and approved it. Any way you look at it he was lying then or he's lying now. That seems important (well, not so much now that his presidency has been reduced to illegal acts in pursuit of a half-cocked agenda).
