Maryland’s highest court ruled Thursday, June 19 that it was denying a petition submitted by the Sierra Club appealing the ruling of a lower court in the club’s effort to halt the Dominion Cove Point Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Export Project.

In a brief order signed by the Maryland Court of Appeals’ Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera, the petition from the club to review the February ruling of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals was denied on the grounds that it was not desirable nor in the public interest...
