"Unfortunately, the oil industry would squander this newfound price stabilization and energy security by lifting the ban on crude oil exports. Doing so would enrich oil companies by enabling them to sell their oil at the higher world price, but it could increase domestic gasoline prices and reduce our energy security. President Barack Obama and Congress should oppose these efforts to allow the export of domestically produced oil."

I think we should prohibit the export of Boeing Airplanes so that the price of airplanes would decrease in the US.

Or perhaps we should prohibit the export of wine from California - clearly that would make wine less costly in the US.

Additionally we should prohibit the export of Jack Daniels from Tennessee. I would love it if JD was cheaper.

I think rules should be applied equally so that the left would bear some of the cost of their policies.
