> Are they going for Europe?

for at least one distributor I know of in europe, CHSE,
the numbers for last quarter were like this:

product mix by category (out of all sales):
storage 28%
pcs 20%
printers 13%
components 13%
software 10%
else 16%

by vendor:
hp 18%
msft 8%
qntm 7%
ibm 7%
seg 6%
cpq 6%

these numbers apply to all their markets, which break
down like this:

western europe 48%
eastern europe 8%
latin america 25%
karma (india) 19%

not plugging CHSE here, but they're big enough that their
product mix has some representative value.

in short the answer to both your questions is yes.

<< If the "almost 100% growth" comment was not a mistake, and we were
looking for 50% growth Q/Q, don't you think you would have heard more enthusiasm?
I personally think they made a mistake.>>
Since they said it three or four different times in different ways, it could not have been a mistake. I would like to understand the reasons for their optimism. At this point the beginning of the March quarter is just around the corner. If they say the same thing again in the January conference call, people should start to get very excited.
