Just remember that the risk the market is currently perceiving is NOT in Cyer but in market conditions at large.

Many if not most companys made stock buy-backs during the start of the Depression ~1930. While they saw their stock as under-valued at the time, in retrospect it was not because the economic environment overwhelmed their individual company prospects.

If you think Asia problems are over-blown and the problems will right themsleve in 12 months like they did 10 years ago in Mexico, then equity prices are at or very near their bottom. If you're wrong and demand fails in the US/Europe as well, then the bottom is quite a bit lower.
