Obama has defused a situation that was growing more tense by the day. Putin has backed down somewhat. Its progress. No one else was going much of anything. Will it hold........time will tell. Ted, Obama has defused a situation that was growing more tense by the day. Putin has backed down somewhat. Putin didn't back down because of Obama. Putin backed down because he saw an opportunity, took the chance, and got what he wanted. To be sure, there isn't anything I expected Obama to do. He needs to be prudent.
