You miss the point and maybe that is why you are misled by Ryan. No one that understands Apple's business model disputes that Apple doesn't seek mass market share and doesn't have it. Apple's business model is successful to an extraordinary degree because its products are made to appeal to those willing to pay a premium for the best products in class. That should be patently clear to anyone who seeks to understand the company. Incessantly beating the horse on market share capture as a criticism of Apple is denying that Apple has been fabulously successful by expressly not seeking mass market share.
