>> We KNOW that CO2 TRAPS heat and we know that we have been raising the percentage of CO2 in our atmosphere since the industrial age began.

We don't know that a PROBLEM exists. Over time, as lower carbon emissions from fuels like natural gas which is plentiful, combined with other changes will minimize or even eliminate whatever problem does exist. This is not a crisis; it is very long-range if anything. The problem isn't the emissions, it is the concern that the emissions will eventually CAUSE a problem. If it turns out the emissions don't really cause a problem, then there is no reason to get balled up about it now.

We should take our time and conduct REAL research and experimentation, rather than the bogus methods which are now being used in a propaganda battle. The ridiculous EPA position announced today is a perfect example of stupid policy that is apt to create rather significant economic and regulatory problems. It makes no sense to act on this today. Totally unnecessary, since over time coal will be replaced by nat gas anyway. There is no reason to push it ahead of scheduled retirements of coal facilities.

It's more complicated than that ... it's not just enough to say CO2 is a GHG and we're putting more in the atmosphere. How powerful a GHG is it? Is it significant enough to matter? The models that predict catastrophe assume a powerful positive feedback effect, acknowledging that CO2 is only a trace gas and not powerful enough to warm the earth much on it's own. So the assumption is made that warming from CO2 increase will be magnified (about 4X) by other factors. Is that assumption valid? Could there be negative feedback effects?

Re warming, it's been warming since the Little Ice Age and that's a good thing ... how much of the warming of the past century is natural vs CO2 related? It's a guess at best.

Now, let me ask you, how come everyone allegedly worried about CO2 is also anti-nuclear power (an energy source that produces no CO2 at all)?
