John, the ironic thing about the "computer age" is that it produces more paper, not less! 68% increase in net profit over last year? Sounds to me like Steelcase is a winner.

*AV*--Okay, so I didn't log off. It's all your fault, John. Great update and very much appreciated. The tidbits shared (and the one cautionary note) make me more committed to try to get into this IPO or pick up some shares on the secondary, if it doesn't take off.

I need to diversify just a tadbit and this company looked real good. I am famailiar with ther competition (Herman Miller and Hayworth) and beleive that Steelcase is #1 or #2 in quality and functionality. Biased opinion based on my personal experiences with all 3 companies.
The construction and office furniture business can be very cyclical but when you catch a good cycle, it is well worth it (as you can see by some of the graphs).

Thanks again
Andrew
