Compaq's Wintel server business is much more matrue than Dell's.
Dell created this line of business just under 3 years ago. There's
lots of room for improvement and they've put much corporate
focus in this area. I expect to see rapid improvements in
service, support and reliability over the next few quarters
as they roll out their new machines. The next generation
Wintel servers from the likes of CPQ, Dell and HP early next
year are gonna be orders of magnitude more powerful than
todays offering.... and for less money.

As for the article, it might be somewhat biased but it's not
completely off target.
